Training
Load Chart Training and Operator Training Needs Assessment, the two training related CD ROMs launched at the Annual Conference 2004 in Sydney, are available for purchase from CICA.
A further CD in this training series (produced by CICA and funded by the CraneSafe Program) has now been published in 2007. About How to Set Up Mobile Cranes, the publication covers slewing mobile cranes, pick and carry cranes, crawler cranes and vehicle loading cranes. A companion training manual is also printable from within the program. Topics include:

- Pre-job planning and inspections
- Choosing the correct equipment
- Site assessments on arrival

- Setting the crane up - correct use of outriggers and packing
